Mulled cider recipe

Need a bit of warming in the winter, this is like an apple pie in a glass!

Place your cider in a saucepan over a low heat (a slow cooker works well).

Do NOT boil the cider - in fact do not exceed 80 deg C or you will be losing the alcohol. A coffee thermometer is good for checking this.

For each 330ml bottle of LOBO apple cider add the following:

1/4 stick of cinnamon

1/2 clove

1 dessert spoon brown sugar

Pinch of mace (or nutmeg will also be fine)

Pinch of ground ginger

For added luxury add a small chip of butter

For extra added luxury melt some cubed pear or quince in butter and pour the warm cider over
